At Diamond Valley Music Studio we offer private and semi-private piano, partner voice lessons and group music for young beginners. While we pride ourselves in the thorough music education our students receive we also believe in nurturing the student in all areas of development. It is well known that a music education can benefit the student in many areas of their lives including but not limited to increased academic success, self-confidence and emotional intelligence.

Hello! My name is Kristen O'Neill. I am owner and educator for Diamond Valley Sound and Music Studio. My family recently moved to Black Diamond and we are incredibly grateful to call this beautiful little place home.
I have always been surrounded by music and grew up with many family members playing a variety of different instruments. It has developed into a deep love and appreciation for music, not only for its sound and beauty but for its power. Music has the incredible ability to heal. It can guide us gracefully through intense emotions, it inspires, can be thought provoking, and most special to me- music is the ultimate memory keeper and you don't need to be a musician to experience this.
I've been teaching music in some capacity for 15 years now and could not imagine doing anything else. It is my passion and I'm extremely fortunate to be able to do something I love as a career. I strive to be a mentor to my students. Someone who not only teaches them their craft but, also helps shape the person they become. I offer a safe and welcoming studio to any student and I use my knowledge and compassion to help foster life skills such as self-confidence, self-discipline, and emotional intelligence.
I look forward to this next chapter in the beautiful Foothills of Alberta.
